That’s where we come in, we utilize their profiles, breed characteristics, etc… to match those previously passed over animals with more people through the app. Sometimes people don’t realize that the one for them could look different than what they had imagined! More matches equals increasing the chances of finding homes for all those wagging tails and purring pals!

We believe that when pets are better matched to their potential paw-rents, the chances of a lifelong, happy, healthy relationship is much improved. By matching animals to potential adopters by lifestyle, activities, preferences, and needs, we believe more animals will likely stay in those homes! The app takes it a step further and prioritizes matching fosters as well so animals don’t get passed around as much or returned to the shelter while they wait for their forever homes.

Need Fosters ASAP? Low on paper towels or blankets? Notify your followers of your needs in a snap. You can set up a wish list in Barkada (our marketplace) or get monetary donations through a donate button on your profile once your account is verified.
NUDGES & REMINDERS
Ever wonder if a potential adopter is thinking of or dreaming about one of your animals? Use The Boop Project to see which of the animals in your care have been BOOPed and send a reminder to that user if the sweet baby is still available or if there will be at an adoption event nearby to meet them. We like to call it the NUDGE, just like when our very own fluffer-nudgers paw at us for some wuvs and scritches.
SURRENDER IN HOME PROGRAM
Sometimes a surrender cannot be avoided. Our Surrender-in-Home Program is our alternative to the private rehoming that occurs across the web. As an organization, you can opt in to the program and take responsibility for the animal and help vet potential adopters and fosters while the animal stays in their current home waiting for a new one. We hope this process will decrease the rate of animals going to nefarious individuals, while keeping the animal out of the shelter.
ADOPTION & FOSTER MANAGEMENT
EASY PET PROFILE MANAGEMENT
The key to successful matches is all in the profile! The more info added to the profile about the animal’s personality, preferences, quirks, etc., the better our app can match these cuties to their perfect adopter or foster. When you make updates to the animal through your pet management software such as ShelterLuv, those changes will be made on our app automatically within 24 hours. But The Boop Project has a more comprehensive animal profile questionnaire that will be extremely beneficial to getting them adopted or fostered more quickly. It won’t take long, just check a few relavent boxes in the animals’ profile whenever you learn something new about them!
FOSTER FIELD TRIPS
Create and manage a Foster For a Day program. We call it Foster Field Trips. Approved (by you!) Volunteers or Day Fosters can take animals on a field trip for the day to get out of the commotion of the shelter. A fun car ride, walk in the park, go for a run or a hike, snuggle on the couch – so many possibilities to give your animals a sometimes much-needed outing to de-stress.
